Reunification Therapy (RT) is typically court-ordered for separated or divorced families, where there is often a favored parent and a rejected parent. It can also be required when there is parent/child separation due to a D&N case with DHS involvement. The goal of reunification therapy is to restore a disrupted parent-child relationship and rebuild trust. RT is child focused therapy meaning, the best interest of the child.
